Sustainable economy for the Thai future

I got a good book, among some Thai business magazines, from SE-ED bookstore on Saturday night.
It 's a Thai translation of the book entitled "The Future of Money" by Bernard Lietaer, printed in 2004.
The Thai title is เงินตราแห่งอนาคต วิถีใหม่สู่การรังสรรค์ความมั่งคั่ง งาน และโลกอันชาญฉลาด and published by a Thai NGO press called Suan Ngern Mee Ma Press.

A Thai introductory remark was given by a former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Thailand, Dr. Verabongse Ramangkur.

As of writing this blog (days before actual posting) I have just read 10% of the book in the first evening, right after arriving home back from the bookstore.

The author discussed a coming of the next economic crisis, perhaps witht the American dollars and he
suggested the benefit on using of supplementary "currency" to help minimize the impact and
systain the future society where money is shortcoming.
Thailand has a kind that supplementary currency, albeit community based, known in Thai as เบี้ยกุดชุม which I have personally admired it.
However, a few years ago, Bank of Thailand acted as if they did not like it and sort of discouraged its wide use.
I hope if they have read this book now, they would have changed their mind.

By the way, I eventually finished the book on the next day.
