The news yesterday about the announcement by Steve Jobs that Mac will move to Intel's Chips next year is a big news in the Internet and on today's newspapers, even in Thailand.
I think, if Apple would license OSX to other PC vendors as well, more people would have an alternative OS to choose on an afforable PC or notebook, and likely the revenue of Apple would soar. I hope this is in the business model and strategy of Apple. I personally would love to see that Apple grab at least 40-50 % of World 's market for OS. As for Windows, althought the market share might reduce in that scenario but its users will still increase due to more people have computers and legitimate (affordable) OS installed.
