New prefix for mobile phone numbers in Thailand takes effect

A moment ago, I spent about half an hour today editing dozens of phone numbers in my mobile phone. TOT had added number 8 again in the second digit, after a couple years ago they forced people to add a prefix 0 to form a first digit. Now all mobiles phone numbers have 10 digits, currently all starting with 08- . I just did not want to spend a couple hours hopping on to Skytrain to MBK center to my phone shop to reprogram those numbers. By the way, I am a minority of people in Bangkok, which use Hutch CDMA system. I believe they have less than 1 million subscribers at the moment.
