Losses so far

From the news, for the past 3-4 days, over 100,000 people missed their flights at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport due to its closure by the anti-government protestors. A few hundred mail sacks got stuck. Exports and imports could not be done. All expressed mails, FedEx, DHL, UPS, whatever, can not transport international packages. I also see TV news that Thailand 's NESDB secretariat estimated that economic loss for so far for the country is estimated at 104 Billion Baht. I am afraid that it might cost more if the situation is protracted. Thailand GDP growth for next year (2009) is estimated at 2%. ( I don't believe that number, I feel like it might not be positive. Many factories do not have new orders. And now tourists are leaving, while none coming.) Many Thai people are angry. Some are worrisome and feel helpless. I speculate that when people realize that they will also be financially affected soon too, they will be more stressful.
