Picture of the end of the Death Railway line
This is a picture of the end of the currently operational rail line of the former WWII 's Death Railway line at Namtok (waterfall) Sai Yok Noi station in Kanchanaburi. I just took it few days ago. This channel must presumably be cut by POWs.
Interstingly, 180 degree backward behind myself taking this picture is the waterfall and the (now dismantled) railway path just run a few ten meters away in front of it only. I think it was quite an engineering feat to lay track like that in a formerly thick jungle with rugged terrain.
